This is how Excalibur looked just over a year ago when we used a very large crane to turn her round in the boat shed for ease of working. It should have been a similar view tomorrow (Friday 27th September), except sadly the weather has tested us. The wind speed will be beyond our insurance limit of 18 mph (gusts forecast up to 40 mph), which would not have gone well for an 80 ft boat dangling from one hook. So now we have to wait for these Atlantic lows to blow through - our new launch day has been set for next Wednesday afternoon 2nd October.
